Program description The Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences High School Health Care Boot Camp is an opportunity for high school students to participate in hands-on simulated activities and interact with allied health care professionals from Mayo Clinic. The health needs of U.S. minority populations have been studied inadequately, due in part to the shortage of clinical investigators belonging to underrepresented groups. The last of these programs introduces high school juniors and seniors to Mayo Clinic's career opportunities through hands-on experiences. Students are placed in labs related to Aerospace Engineering & Planetary Science, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Biology, Chemistry and/or Mathematics .
